Following its appointment by eThekwini Municipality in December 2017 to provide prepaid electricity aggregation services across its 3 regions Central, Southern and Northern to service its 390 000 prepaid electricity consumers, Sandulela has partnered with Flash Mobile as its key distribution and retail channel for prepaid electricity tokens in eThekwini.
Flash brings a vast marketplace of traders across the region particularly in the peri-urban and townships of Durban servicing the cash based market. Flash boasts a retail footprint of over 1800 traders in Durban deployed in retail shops selling prepaid electricity and other valued added virtual services and has the largest footprint of traders in South Africa. Sandulela and Flash will work together in the region to ensure increased footprint and convenient service provision to the customers of eThekwini Municipality.
